JAPANDI

Concept

The Japandi style is a combination of Japanese and Scandinavian design elements. As such, it doesn't adopt the traditional Japanese style of sitting directly on tatami mats or exclusively using wooden tables and chairs. The homeowner hopes to utilize the views of Victoria Harbour as a photogenic spot where one can lay on the terrace and enjoy leisure time. This spot also serves as a hidden entrance to the master bedroom. The integrated wall design makes the living room appear more spacious. Additionally, the dining table is equipped with German-engineered extendable hardware that can be fully concealed within the open-style kitchen cabinets when not in use.
